Our Story

One Community Forward

Founded in 2025 by Olawuyi Raodat Feyisikemi, the Yusuf Popoola Foundation (YUP) was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to build communities where the young are empowered and equipped with the same opportunities as their peers in modern cities.

We recognized that many young people in underserved communities have immense potential but lack access to the resources, education, and opportunities they need to thrive. YUP Foundation bridges this gap by creating programs that empower youth to become the leaders and builders of their own communities.

Our name honors Yusuf Popoola, and our tagline "One Community Forward" reflects our belief that when we invest in youth, we move entire communities forward. Every young person we reach becomes a catalyst for positive change in their community.
